Firebug™ has been developed after many years of work with customers who are looking to automate the inspection of fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment with barcodes. The simplicity of using Firebug for the monthly, quarterly and annual inspections of extinguishers is what makes this system unique. What Firebug™ does is allow you to build a list of locations with extinguishers and direct the technician through his/her inspection routine. If an extinguisher is missed during the inspection, the technician will be told of this on his/her hand held mobile device.
Firebug™ has been built so that it can work on a single workstation, in a corporate network or in a wide area network. It is 100% web based and can be accessed from a web browser by any authorized user. The portable device can communicate in a batch mode from a cradle, over a wireless 802.11 networks or broadband using a cellular connection.
