The FileHawk application was developed to automate tracking the movement of files in and out of the file room. A customizable database includes all the fields important to your needs. Files are checked in and checked out of the file room and moved from one location to another by scanning the file label barcode generated through the system and the user to whom the file was given. The Portable Data Terminal/Scanner will periodically capture a physical inventory by scanning all current files in the office and reporting discrepancies.

The Check Out transaction is made simple, using a few scans, which would make it easy for tracking in unattended file rooms. Files can be moved to a redweld by scanning the barcode of each and the files can also be moved to an archive carton for long term record storage. The system manages the parent/child relationship from files to redwelds to cartons.

The Item database can be customized to meet any need. For an insurance company, fields can include; Insured or Claim Number.
